ALPINE PASTURE HIKES, SCENIC IRRIGATION CHANNEL TRAILS AND SOLITARY SUMMIT TOURS WITH MAGNIFICENT VIEWS

Alpine fragrances and
summit bliss
At vinlauris, dolce vita is more than a phrase – it’s an attitude to life, defined by ease and serenity. Out here, nature sets the rhythm. It’s not about how much you do, but how it feels. Breathe deeply, slow down and simply be.
Mountain adventures and gentle family walks, high peaks and hidden side valleys are ready to be explored.

Less busy – and that's a good thing
Quiet, scenic, rarely crowded and deeply rooted in history, the Waalwege trails follow ancient irrigation channels through the Venosta Valley, revealing sweeping views along the way. Here, walking means slowing down – with time to pause, rest and simply enjoy the landscape.
Not far from vinlauris, the Schnalswaalweg irrigation channel trail is one of the longest of its kind, leading gently towards Juval Castle.

The mountains
of the Venosta Valley
Set between the Texelgruppe Nature Park and the Stelvio National Park, vinlauris is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Whether you prefer easy hikes or challenging summit tours, countless trails begin right outside your door, winding through Alpine pastures and mixed forests.

Follow well-marked paths across the sun-drenched Sonnenberg mountain or the greener, cooler Nörderberg mountain – and continue all the way to the summit if you like. Thanks to the South Tyrol Guest Pass Venosta Valley, many trailheads are easily accessible by public transport, free of charge and environmentally friendly.
ALPINE DELIGHTS IN SOUTH TYROL
Being out in the mountains means engaging all your senses. It’s not only about feeling the sun on your face and breathing in the fresh alpine air, but also about savoring good food, enjoying a homemade juice and letting your gaze wander across the peaks – consciously taking in the beauty of the moment.

HOLIDAY APARTMENTS FOR CYCLISTS IN THE VENOSTA VALLEY
Kastelbell-Tschars sits right along the ancient Via Claudia Augusta, now a much-loved cycle path. From here, you cycle gently along the Etsch river, far from main roads, and return comfortably by bike shuttle or train.

On the Sonnenberg mountain, diverse mountain bike trails invite you to explore the landscape at your own pace. If you bring your own bikes, they are stored safely and free of charge in our garage.

Cycling is dolce vita on two wheels – relaxed, sustainable and wonderfully freeing, with fresh air, open views and the feeling that everyday life has drifted far away.
