The name novantotto refers to the Vespa 98, the first series-produced Vespa launched in 1946. Its name derives from its 98 cm³ engine. Since then, the Vespa has symbolized Italian lifestyle, freedom, movement and independence – qualities that shape the character of Apartment 98.​
